Happy New Year, and welcome to the January edition of The LINE! I’m excited to share this month’s stories, which reflect fresh beginnings, community connection, and our shared appreciation for the world around us.
This issue highlights the Chinese Zodiac as we enter the Year of the Horse—a symbol of energy, freedom, and progress. In that spirit, I’m also helping spread the word about a local horse sanctuary, supporting the care and protection of these incredible animals. You’ll also find a nostalgic feature on the farewell to the penny, exploring its historical significance as it phases out of circulation.
As always, we’re keeping an eye out for our animal neighbors and sharing ways we can peacefully coexist with wildlife in our community.
